Sinamaica

Amazing place. You get there by boat only, and pretty much get around there by boat only.

These people are mostly fishermen, and live on the water. This way, they just jump in a boat and go out into the sea to fish. Their kids go to school, they go to church, there is daycar, they have electricity, mostly the same as anybody in the lower socio-economic lifstyle.

I believe they get some "special" treatment by the government because of the tourist value. Nothing much, but a new church and school are better than nothing. In fact, they're pretty darn good.

I really dont know a whole lot about it, except that it was a cool place to visit.

This is an abandoned house on the outskirts of the village. Almost swallowed up by the forest again....	Another abandoned house. All the wires in the foreground are live.	The bridge to Columbia. This is one of the best built buildings here.	Another church. This one is probably not a Catholic church, gathering by its cheaper appearance.	Drinking what seemed to be pure alcohol out of a coconut. We played cards here and waited for our bo...	The boat trip included dinner, and we both had a wonderfull seafood dinner, and the obligatory tiny ...	Crossing the main part of the river, the villages start to come into view.
Chilling out with a beer.	Awesome trees. Most of this I guess is roots.	More weird trees.	This was wild. A big tree with vine-y drape-y things. Most tranquil.	The first clump of houses. These are quite exposed, whereas the others were in quieter back-waters, ...	This house was one of the few that looked modernish. It is built half on land half on the river.	This house had a satellite dish......	...... and an air-conditionar!	The new school being built next to the church.	Some pretty houses.
Look carefully here and you will see a powerline. This is supplying one of the smaller villages alon...	Common powerline pole.	Wow. From here, the main line comes in, is stepped down and delivered by whatever means available to...	I think this was some storage place on the shore. Had cool trees behind it.	Not everyone had motor boats...	Natural tree formed archway. Very cool.
